Community Somatics
Adult Beginner Ballet
Dates: Every Monday
Time: 6-7:30pm
Cost: $20 drop in or purchase a 5 class pass for $85
Location: Diamond Rolfing & Movement
Led by: Kelly Diamond
Designed for the beginner and curious student, these classes will safely challenge your movement comfort zone. Through ballet basics, we will explore coordination, mobility and musicality. No prior experience necessary. Come dance with us!
What to Wear: Clothing that will allow you to move and is not too baggy. Ballet slippers are ideal socks can work temporarily.

Balance & Orientation Workshop
This workshop is for anyone interested in improving their balance and enhancing body awareness. Sensing the ground beneath us, noticing the environment around us and shifting to maintain equilibrium is a whole body activity. We will explore movements that restore proprioceptive skills and body connections to feel more grounded and flexible in everyday movements like walking and getting up from the ground.
Integrative Movement 10 Week Class Series
This 10 week long somatics based class focuses on perceptual core stability, gravity orientation and embodiment. In each class we explore:
Strength Work that challenge and increase functional core stability.
Restorative Movements that restore ease to your physical body and mind.
Experiential Anatomy that helps your learn and feel how your body operates.
Fun with Feet & Hands!
This workshop-style class explores embodiment and bio-mechanical awareness that will support you on and off the yoga mat. The goal is to develop resources to move and breathe more easily in our bodies with less strain and tension. Using two basic yoga poses, Chair/Awkward and Downward Facing Dog, we investigate:
Increasing shoulder mobility through sensorimotor activation of the hands
Improving balance through enhanced adaptability of the feet
Integrative Movement Workshop Series
This workshop series offers a safe environment where you can explore what it feels like to move in a supported, fluid and pain-free way. We explore:
Reconnecting with one’s ability to move with ease.
Restoring coordination and flexibility using perception and gravity orientation.
Increasing confidence in relationship with oneself.
Listening to and understand internal and external body sensations.
Revive your Feet
Body awareness influences how your body functions. This workshop is designed to empower you through information and exploration to begin to embody having functional feet. Deepen your understanding of your feet through experiential anatomy and whole body movement theory in relation to them. Feel what it is like to receive support from the ground. Learn self-care exercises to unwind common foot issues and faulty habits.
Adult Beginner Ballet Classes
These ballet classes are designed for the beginner student. Students learn beginner barre and center technique as well as the language of ballet and applicable strength work. These classes will safely challenge your movement comfort zone, increase range of motion, and improve coordination and balance. We aim to keep class light hearted and full of laughs as everyone is learning new ways to move their body!
