Meet Kelly

As a dancer, my lifelong love of movement has given me an intimate understanding of the human body and continues to peak my curiosity to this day. During my professional ballet career, I experienced a number of different physical injuries including acute lower back pain, tendonitis in my ankles, and muscles tearing in my legs. I tried several different therapies, which offered short term relief. When my yoga instructor suggested I try Rolfing, I was intrigued and surprised to experience long lasting physical relief and energetic shifts in my body and perspective.

In 2013, I graduated as a Certified Rolfer from the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO and has since become a Certified Advanced Rolfer and Rolf Movement Practitioner. I have a full-time private practice and movement studio in Concord, NH.

I have been studying Somatic Experiencing (SE) for the past three years with a local in-person cohort under the facilitation of Russell Jones and Lael Keen and will graduate as an SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner) in April of 2025. I love the integration of holisitic hands on therapy, intelligent/mindful movement and Somatic Experiencing. I have a particular interest in dissociative patterns and developmental trauma and helping individuals “tend to the the good."

When I’m not with clients, I love to dance and am grateful to still occasionally perform. I love traveling and spending time in nature with my two rescue dogs and family.

Kelly’s Educational Credentials Include:

  • Advanced Rolfing Certification- Kelly’s Advanced Rolfing Training took place at the Claymont Center for Continuous Education in WV under the instruction of Tessy Brungardt and Ellen Freed in 2016. This training increased Kelly’s range of touch and ability to work with the body’s subtle movements. Additionally, she learned specific spinal and pelvic manipulations applied to efficiently and gently unwind rotations in the body structure.

  • Rolf Movement Integration Certification- In 2017, Kelly completed additional training in movement studies. This work helps the client adapt efficiently to his/her environment through the exploration of inner and outer body sensations in relation to self and others. Movement resources are specific to the client’s daily needs but often include allowing for ease in repetitive tasks or athletic endeavors.

  • Cranial Manipulation- In 2017, Kelly completed a year-long training of cranial studies with Jim Asher of the Colorado Cranial Institute. Cranial work uses light touch to release restrictions within the soft tissue system that influence the brain and spinal cord (Central Nervous System). By normalizing the environment around the Central Nervous System, the body has an enhanced ability to self-correct.

  • Somatic Experiencing- Kelly is currently in the learning process to become and SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner) and will graduate in April 2025.

  • SE Assistant- Kelly is currently assisting a local in person Somatic Experiencing Beg & Int Training. Kelly feels honored to be able to give back to the SE community in this way and deepen her own understanding of the work through a facilitator lens.

  • Rolf Movement Teacher in Training- Kelly is currently in the Teacher in Training program at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO. Kelly occasionally travels to Boulder for 1-2 weeks at a time to assist Rolf Movement classes. This is preparing Kelly for the potential of joining faculty at the Rolf Institute.

  • Dance- Kelly has trained extensively in different forms of dance with a primary focus on classical ballet. She danced for several companies before retiring in 2012. Kelly continues to teach ballet and pointe technique classes and perform with Ballet Misha, a local company.

  • Yoga- Kelly’s personal yoga practice informs her connection to her physical and mental self and allows her to maintain openness and strength in working with clients.
